Release Notes

Again version 2.0 is a complete from scratch attempt at making a soft synth in XNA.
This version allows much more functionality with midis and will hopefully be the right direction for this project.

Whats New -For more read Complete Changes
1. Completely redone Synthesis system that is more efficient and of course faster.
2. Multi-Channel/Instrument playback !!! (no more having to use simple midi's) (Your only limitation is your sound-set)
3. Clipping and Popping greatly reduced/eliminated do to Attack, Sustain, and Release (hoping to improve this in future versions)
4. Support for a variety of instruments and ability to create your own.

Complete Changes
1. Version 2 was redone using David Gouveia's sample with Dynamic Audio !!! (http://www.david-gouveia.com)

2. Synthesizer
  1. Handles the audio via DynamicSound, must be updated frequently.
  2. Voices are reused instead of SoundEffectInstances.
  3. The Synthesizer can support Mono and Stereo playback at different SampleRates.
  4. Since there are no SoundEffects involved there is no cap on the Polyphony.
3. Instruments
  1. Allows for flexible use of samples in creating instruments.
  2. Can use samples from wave files or even functions to create unique instruments.
  3. Source includes 5 Instruments that allow for a variety of midi instruments from drums, to pianos, to FM synthesis.
4. Instrument Bank
  1. Static class that holds Instruments like a GM bank would.
  2. Includes a separate Bank for Drum Instruments.
5. MidiSequencer
  1. Can handle more advanced midis.
  2. Drum events are now supported.
  3. ProgramChange events are supported (as long as you have the instruments to change to).
